Updating Santa

During the Christmas season, in '82, when I was working for Warner & Swasey, we had to integrate the Bendix® DC Servo Robot into a system with our grinding machines. For such a massive device, capable of lifting a few hundred pounds, it was extremely precise and delicate. Someone made the mistake of commenting to the engineering group, “That robot can do anything.”

And that is how cartoons get inspired.
